A superb razor, the best SE ever made IMHO.
Enjoy.

Two questions: 1) Any special care for the wood handle recommended? 2) Should the razor blade actually sit in or on the blade stop? I haven't tried yet, but the stops don't look separated enough for the blade to rest inside.

The blade stops are there for the blade to rest against.

I wouldn't soak the wooden handle.

You asked about the razor also. I had 2 because I loved the looks of the razor and I wanted it to work for me. But I found both to be far too mild for me.

So far I've found only 2 SE razors that are too mild for me to use. The Gem Jr Bar that you pictured being one.

Wood is just stained and you can restain it or wax it with no problem...the stops are there just to"stop" the blade from moving and the sharp edge of the blade will fit under the metal...I have one of these and they are a wonderful razor.

Thanks for the responses. I'm a dud when it comes to home projects so I have no idea what you mean by "wax it" Smile To stain it, would I pick any black wood stain, or something specific?
