With three successful shaves with the OCMM under my belt I feel confident (and not to little eager) to try out the next (out of 8 purchased) SE razors: a 1912 Ever-Ready w/ chain-link/Art Deco handle.

This razor is in stunning condition - I'm almost sure it has never been used. What attracted me to it when I saw it online was that beautifully intricate handle and I have to say it looks even better in person. It not only looks great but it appears that it will provide a really safe grip when shaving.

Now, the handle is a tad shorter than what I normally like but the combination of the grip and the weight of the handle makes it feel very nice and I can't wait to try it out tomorrow!!

IMO that's one of the finest handles for looks and usability.

Try using just the fingertips to hold the razor. That makes the short handle meaningless, it also insures (pretty much anyway) no pressure. Anyway, it works that way for me.

I'd wish you good luck, but the way you handled the OCMM you won't need luck.

I have the same one in brass and love it. Like little works of art.
