Does anyone really do this? Seems like a lot of trouble to me.

At least one person does! He's in the video.

I find it ridiculous and the last time I suffered through one of the videos I was struck by the jargon used just to create credibility. I've read others comment that claimed the products were good. I can't confirm that they are, only that I read what I reported.

Seems like they've attached 'fancy names' to what we all do anyways, in terms of face mapping, prep, and WTG/XTG/ATG ... Huh

What's next ?... 'Hydroclean' applicators for 'Method Wiping' after using the toilet ... Biggrin

I downloaded the episode of the Mustache and Blade podcast where they interview him. It was just painful to listen to.

I watched his videos a few times a couple of years ago, they were good for a chuckle and a few eye rolls..there is no way I'd shave that way.
The materials are very expensive, it seems extraordinarily messy and it just seems to go against one my favorite aspects of wet shaving...which is taking a slow leisurely pace and enjoying the shave experience.

I still crack up when I hear his fancy catch phrases.Laughing1

+1

The part about the 'shaving olympics' made me pause and wonder if we were all loony tunes.

I was about to say we just discussed this... but it was almost two years ago. Time flies when I have fun, I guess Tongue

My opinion stands though: "Honestly... if I had to shave with the same tools and products every time, I would go back to foam-in-a-can and overpriced cartridges. Part of the enjoyment is spending a minute picking the brush, lather and razor I'll be using while the water gets hot and my lather bowl is filling."

He appears to have invented a new angle to shave at. Sideways with a slightly upward motion. I guarantee that no one has ever done this motion before in the history of wet shaving.

He then goes on to shave with just water calling it a "dry blade reduction".

Water is a great lubricant on an already shaven face. I chuckle at his catchy names like "dry blade reduction". Call it what it is, "touch ups".

Well, that slipped right past me.

That was the best part of the whole video. I splash water at the end of shaves when I don't want to grab my brush, but at that point I will find some residual lather on my face and mix that with water.

This is a buzzword feeding frenzy.

Instead of the 50 second normal process; his patented method peeing consists of 3 minutes of prep work, 30 seconds of peeing into a container, transferring the fluid into a measured system of weights and water displacement, 4 minutes of analyzing the amount, ph balance and consistency, and finally adjusting how you are standing or sitting for the remaining amount in your body for just the perfect amount of no splash back.

I too have seen the video and wonder if anyone goes through all that just to shave.

But, it gives him something to do in his free time.
