Hi Guys, I've been using this for the last week and think is great. The scent is not overly strong and I've not had to use too much to get a nice very slick lather.

I'm going to try the Lemon and Lime next to see how I get on with that.

Cheers.

It's great stuff. I own 8 TOBS creams, and this is my favorite of them all

Good to hear you are enjoying the purchase. It is a bummer to buy a soap and then find out it does not meet your expectations. I have had a half a dozen or so TOBS creams and settled on Avocado...never had a TOBS that lathers like it....just amazing plus a great scent.

I have the soap and the cream (or is it croap?) and agree the scent is sublime. I have the new 60ml travel pack; very handy. I must write a little review. My only criticism is that it lacks a little 'slick' of the kind Tabac has in abundance. Sorry, pic a little blurry.

I think TOBS creams across the board are quite nice.

Boaz, is it the soap or the cream that you have?

I have the cream and I would agree that it is almost like a croap in consistency

Glad your enjoying it. It was actually the 2nd soap/cream I ever purchased. Great stuff!

No worries on the resurrection. Always good to reminisce! Smile

I think the Jermyn Street scent is more subtle to accommodate sensitive skin. Jermyn Street is probably my favorite TOBS scent. I have used the Jermyn Street scented shaving cream, aftershave cream, post-shave gel, bar soap, and shower gel. The scent fades rather quickly from the bar soap and the shower gel isn't very thick like most body washes or gels. The scent and quality of the other products has been excellent.

Have just used the shaving soap, had only previously used the cream, the shaving soap is amazing, lathers really easily, plenty of glide, tons of cushion and can take a lot of water so you can generate mountains of lather from a small amount of soap. The only negative thing I can say is that the scent could be a bit stronger but as stated by HaigUltra76 this is probably to accomodate sensitive skin

I agree.

Own both the soap and the cream. Both products are top notch !

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but why start another.

Just tried the soap, not the cream, version this morning. It is the first TOBS product that I have tried. Face lathers easily for a rich thick lather but maybe not as slick as some. Has one of the nicest scent of the soaps I have tried and left my face feeling just fine. A very good first impression.

It is an incredible scent. I just wish it wasn't so weak. The scent disappeared for me as soon as I lathered it. I had the wooden bowl version.

Yes, it could be a little stronger but I think their idea was to be a little subtle with the scent. Sort of understated English elegance, or not. I had the refill puck which is likely the same as what comes in the wooden bowl.

I find the comments about the scent puzzling. I finally tried this in the cream version and thought the scent was a very anonymous cologne type scent. Not bad, but is it really heads and shoulders above TOBS other cologne scented varieties? YMMV I guess.
