I already own 2 pots of the unscented.

I used to not like soaps, because they gave me skin irritation, but I have started using new skin care products, my GF's sister works in that field, and have now used some shaving soaps with scents in super lather mix with my many shaving creams and got no problems.
Used to only be able to tolerate scented shaving creams.
Now I have a new field of shaving soaps to discover Cool

So which of the scented MDC do you prefer ?

Should I just buy both Tongue

Advice appreciated !
Thanks Smile

I did the same thing last year, and don't regret it for a second.

I originally had this dilemma, and opted for the Fougere, which was my initial favorite. However, after a few months, I started preferring the scent of the regular one, and I still do to this day.
Still, these soaps are so good, I just voted for Both! Biggrin

I have a jar of the original and have used a sample of the fougere. I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference. I would say save the buck or two extra you pay and go with the original. Its a top notch performer.

I have both too, both are excellent in scent and performance. Not a bad purchase at all, Claus.

Claus, you actually had to ask this question? Was there ever any doubt you would get both?! Biggrin

Get neither! It is so overpriced I'm sorry I ever bought it. There are so many great soaps that are less expensive. For example, the three D.R. Harris soaps that your girl friend got you.

Good choice getting both. While I enjoy both scents, I don't use them as often as I should. There are so many great soaps available now, with scents that I prefer over MdC, that I don't tend to use them until I remember that it's been awhile. If these were the only soaps available to me, I wouldn't mind, as I do like their performance. I am tempted to get the large wooden bowl and use it exclusively until it's gone.

Thanks guys.
I bought both for €98 shipped.
Already own 2 unscented and I love them.
In addition to the Mdc Fougére and Original and the 3 DR HARRIS soaps my gf gave me, I also ordered these two soaps, which I also own in cream versions:

TOBS Jermyn Street
DR HARRIS Lavender

Think I'm covered for now :-)

Next is 3 Valobra in the new Valobra bowls !

I have both. Just pick one. They are similar. I had a sample of the Fou bathing soap amd that was something !!! When the fou shave soap arrived it had a different scent, a lot like the original. Sad but moved on. Love the original!

In terms of intensity of scent :
MdC Fougere shaving soap - 5/10
MdC Fougere bath soap - 11/10

Both the regular scent and Fougere scent are nice in their own way ... YMMV.

I like the "unscented" which is really not unscented at all, magnificent stuff.

WoW, this is fast delivery Smile

Already will receive it tomorrow, Monday, - look forward to testing them.

Have 7 soaps coming in this upcoming week Cool

4 DR Harris (all but Marlborough (owned Marlborough in the cream, but sold it - too much cedar and dry wood for a cream I smear in my face) - all in Mahogany bowls)
2 Martin De Candre (already own 2 pots of the Unscented)
1 TOBS (Jermyn St. in the black wooden bowl)

Just got the Tabac Stick and the refill - great stuff.
I remember that scent - very manly, very 70's, very special.
Not a favorite, but I'm very open minded when it comes to scents, since I'm a frag-head with a collection of 350+ full bottles of fragrance Wink

Original MdC is a true lavender scent, and I love it. The fougere is rocking the green, Claus!

Claus, due to the high shipping / postal costs from France approx 10€ euros it worked out cheaper for me to order three (3) same postage costs.

One of the best hard soaps around..........

One of those super-expensive soaps that I feel I must try, but am hoping to find samples of the Original and Unscented before committing whole hog. Same with Boellis Panama.
