I simply love my P8 TSN LE.

Question - which of the current Simpson Best offerings are most similar to the P8 TSN LE?

Haha, Celestino ... I didn't say I no longer like my 2-band brushes! There are no flying pigs here ... yet. Tongue

Well, Ravi. I wish you luck in finding another Best brush. You could contact Jamie to see if you can get one similar to his. Biggrin

I would go with the 59, personally, because of the handle, but good luck! Biggrin

Ravi, I can agree with your thought on a Duke 3. When my P8 first arrived, I couldn't help but notice that the knot was nearly identical to my D3 in best. If I recall correctly, the measurements were off by less than 1mm in both length and width. Also, the quality of the hair and overall face feel, I found, was identical.

Thanks, Giorgio.

I have the CH2 in Best ... and it's a wonderful brush, but the P8 has more optimal density and flow-through ...

... sometimes a brush, i.e. CH2, can be too dense!

The 58 I have is pretty close to the P8.

Thanks, Johnny.

I just ordered a Duke 3 Best ... I'll put 58 on my short-list as well.

I was initially thinking about the 59, but the handle is too tall for my liking, i.e. almost Polo-like ...

I'm told by our resident Simpson's expert (aka Ben), that the Duke 3 in best is almost identical.

I agree Ravi, some brushes can certainly be too dense! I don't think you'll get that with the Duke as it is so close to the P8 (IMO).

However, I'm also liking Celestino and Johnny's recommendations for the 50 series. A 58 or 59 is definitely on my own acquisition list Biggrin

Right now it is a tossup to which is my favorite between the P8 and the 58. I've seen the 59 and it is quite a step up from the 58. The 59 is not for me.

In terms of the knot I would definitely say the Commodore X3 Best.

I believe you made the right choice, the D3 is a great all around brush. Wink

Yup, the Duke 3 is very close, as is the Harvard 4.
