I ordered this razor directly from Plisson(France) February 28 and it arrived at my house March 6 via my local Post Office. Most of the journey was sent via Colissimo by Plisson. The razor is so beautiful I was afraid to take it out of the box and use it but of course why did I buy if not to use it which I did this afternoon. An aggressive shave is what I expected and I was not disappointed. Just to clarify some issues this razor is solid brass head and handle. This model is gold plated and I am assuming 18 karat. Some gold models are solid gold which is 24 karat. The razor weighs 3.5 oz (99 grams) is as Plisson states is engraved or as we like to call it lined. The razor didn't come in a fancy wood box but I don't care one way or the other.

Wow, Jerry! That is beautiful razor!

Out of curiosity, how was it shipped if it didn't come in the standard box?

A plain cardboard box with an inner removable cardboard with the razor fastened to it so it wouldn't slide around. No wooden coffin anymore.

I owned the lacquered black with white pin stripe, Rosewood and horn, but despite their beauty I've found the all brass handle provides better balance, so now I only own the Palladium and Gold versions...

A very beautiful razor. I only wish that my sensitive skin and mild beard could handle and aggressive razor. I would love to own the pinstripe model.

I love that gold Joris. It is beautiful. They are aggressive. If I make more than 2 passes with mine on any part of my face I will feel irritation later on.
That all metal collection that Ben has is very nice also.

Could someone post a link to where you can buy the gold razor here. I've been trying to find it with no luck.

I thought I was done buying DE razors, but then I stumbled upon this thread. My

I would love to get hold of a Palladium, gold or horn-handled Joris. Does anyone know an on-line source that ships to the UK?

Alternatively, if anyone from this forum has one that they would like to trade for some fine english shaving gear then I would love to hear from you...Angel
