Since I'm considering a scuttle (either for keeping the brush warm...and/OR for lathering) I thought it would be a good idea to see how this whole bowl lathering works using my $1.50, plastic Daiso bowl Smile

I have to say the lather was REALLY nice - thick, creamy and slick.
The only thing I'd miss if I were to bowl-lather every day would be the exfoliation that I get from face lathering. But who says it will have to be black and white - I can see myself using both techniques going forward depending on what I feel like. Smile

Yes, do whichever you choose on a particular day. I mainly bowl lather in a scuttle, but I have a few soap sticks that I use with face lathering. And when you bowl lather, you can still get some exfoliation by vigorous lather application.

As John has said, if you enjoy both manners of lathering, then use both. I face-lather, exclusively, so I don't have this dilemma. Biggrin

Whatever is the most comfortable. I would focus on what gets you the best lather, that is also key. I tried to face lather, and it didn't work for me. Everyone is different though.

I recently started to face lather as I found that it was a little quicker in getting my shave in, but you cannot beat the warm lather in a scuttle.
