Available now from Gifts & Care is a new Semogue Brush and it's a looker! It's a premium silvertip with a 24mm knot and 48mm loft. It has a beautiful Olive Wood handle that's engraved with, "Special Edition 2013 Olive Wood Semogue". It says limited supply so pick yours up quickly.

Looks great. I just feel their wooden handles feels too hollow and light and not solid enough for my taste. Like their horn handles better Smile

I'm looking forward to this brush. Love Semogue's dense badgers.

I would guess this is similar hair or the same as their selected silvertip?

According to Vintage Scent:

http://vintagescent.com/index.php?main_p...cts_id=158

"This brush feels really luxurious in the face. It lathers easily any hard soap or cream. In terms of comparison to other production brushes, I'd say that it feels like a Simpson Chubby between the 1 and 2 model and the hair resembles a lot the Shavemac D01 silvertip hair."

I think the knot will be the same as the FA horn one. If it is, it's up there with the best. A very good knot IMO.

It looks like a beautiful brush. Thanks for letting us know. The Semogue special or limited editions sell out fast. I missed out on the recent horn 2-bands.

Do we know the actual loft? Gifts and Care says 48mm, and Vintage Scent says 52mm. For some of us that could be a factor. I would prefer the 48mm loft.

Ok... I succumbed to the Olivewood gorgeousness and also Dipesh's knot/hair description.

Mod Edit: Other forum discount codes should not be posted here. The code is meant for members of that forum.

Semogues Selected Silvertip is up there with the best in the biz.
At least in my humble opinion.

Gentlemen: In case you didn't know, I am Semogue's official Salesperson handling all of the shaving retailers in the US (such as BullGoose, RB&M, West Coast, etc.) and some International retailers too. I ask you please to support the US Shaving retailers. We all have the same price to sell this brush at whether here or outside of the US. It's a big world and although a lot of items are not made in the USA, we US shaving retailers rely on you to keep the dollar here. All of your favorite US retailers that now carry Semogue Brushes, will have these SE brushes within the next week to 10 days. Please, if you can, buy them here in the good ole USA!

The other Foreign Retailers have the entire EU to sell and I ask that you try to buy from North American vendors when possible.

Thank you all and please take this in the spirit in which it is intended. Keep the Dollar in the USA!!!!!BTW, the US retailers will honor 10% off too.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thanks for the information Lee. I always prefer to give my business to US retailers. The problem is that as consumers, we usually don't know if a Semogue LE or SE item will be available here. The recent horn 2-bands, for example, were only available at Vintage Scent and sold out quickly. I'm sure many of us would wait if we know that an item will be available from you or Phil, so getting that knowledge out to us is important.

Thank you!!! We will be sure to keep you posted on all Semogue happenings going forward. I am going to push hard to get a "special" Boar brush for the US ONLY!!! I will start on that at once.
I/We appreciate your support.

Absolutely.
I have yet to find a current badger hair with softer tips than Semogue's Selected Silvertip.
