Looking for a lightly used/ mint condition Ikon Modern or PILS razor. Let me know if you would like to part with it.

You might have better luck picking up a Pils as the iKon Modern was produced in a limited run some years ago. But in any event I wish you the best.

I know the Modern is a long shot, but at one time it was the cheaper option and better made choice compared to the PILS. Maybe someone will part with it.

A modern just sold on eBay for $520. I hope you weren't planning to spend quite that much.

I think that money is crazy. I try to stay away from EBay because it's so hit or miss. I love the forums and hope I will be able to find a gentleman who wants to part with one at a fair price. Razor prices seem to be out of control.

I saw that eBay listing and couldn't believe what it sold for. An iKon Modern was listed on B&B for $199 a couple of weeks ago and that was the first one I've seen either there or on TSN. I've shaved with the Pils and couldn't get the angle right for me. It was too mild for me. I own a S3S and found it worked better. Good luck with your search.

Thanks. I talked to the guy that sold it. He was on a knife forum and just wanted to get rid of it. Wow did he do good on the sale. Glad it wasn't me at $500.

Is the only difference between the iKon Modern and the iKon H20, the fact that the head is closed comb on both sides for the modern and a dual head open comb/closed comb on the H2O?

The top cap on the H2O is made of aluminum. I'm not sure what the top cap on the Modern is made of. From what I could gather the last time I asked the main difference between the H2O and the S3S was the H2O cap was made of aluminum and the S3S is made of stainless. The H2O and the S3S both have the dual head.

This is exactly what I previously thought too. I'm curious about the modern though...I believe it is a two piece design with aluminum top cap, only it is all closed comb rather than dual...I think the "Modern" preceded the H2O and definitely the S3S w/the SS top cap and iKon SK9 three piece design w/ SS top cap. I have a brand new in box H2O (thankfully I have two), but not sure if the dual head is something of interest to the "poster".
