Yep, after reading your panegyrics to Yerba Mate, I bought some green Mate and tried it today. I got mine from Upton Tea (which is where I get my tea regularly).

I'd have to say that I like it so far. I cannot see it replacing my regular black tea at the moment, but it is nice to drink and I do enjoy it.

So don't let the teasing at the Nook get to you, Celestino. Yerba Mate just added a consumer, thanks to you. Biggrin

Yohann, great to hear, my friend!!! Biggrin

To really appreciate its attributes, you need to try the one I drink in the loose form and with a bombilla and cup or gourd for a couple of months, then you will understand why I praise it so! Biggrin

No other Yerba Mate tastes as good as the one I drink, for me, any way! Blush

Enjoy the Mate, my friend!

While I don't drink it often, I find it a really nice change of pace from my regular tea choices.

I am always reminded of it because anytime a picture of Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez is shown he has a cup of Mate in his hand. At home, at practice, in the clubhouse always Mate in the traditional cup. I think it is the Argentinian national drink.

Celestino -

I do have the loose forms of Yerba Mate. It's not from your source, but I'm sure Upton has good stuff. Everything I've bought from them so far has been great.

I may have to consider getting a gourd and a bombilla. My wife already thinks I'm crazy, so something like that would not throw her off. Biggrin

* Excellent, Yohann! You really should try the Guayaki Yerba Mate to see what you think of it. Enjoy, my friend!

I like it enough to actually buy the whole set of the gourd, bombilla, and Mate. We'll see.
