I had a lot of help from Ron Press (RSP), Ravi (Agravic), and Ben Lane in designing the upcoming Vie-Long Lord Randal brush. The brush will be available in 4 different knots - Natural brown horse, Natural White horse, a horse/badger mix and silvertip badger.

The Natural White prototype arrived in the mail yesterday evening and I should have the production brushes in about three weeks. The prototype is a substantial brush weighing 70g with a 23mm knot and a 53mm loft. It is proving difficult to photograph due to the swirling colors but these pictures should give you an idea. I have included a picture of it next to a Duke 3 and a Simpson 57 to give you a better idea of size.

The brush name is an obscure reference to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (which is where Bullgoose comes from as well).

Wow, Phil! That is a unique looking handle! It sure is striking with the natural horse hair bristles! Smile

Very nice, Phil.

I do like the classic lines, with a twist in terms of colors ...

Thank you Celestino. I think I may have to try photographing it in natural light. The pictures do not do it justice.

Very nice!

However, to confirm, the brush will not come in two-band knot?

Correct. The silvertip knot will be extra stuffed though so it should have plenty of backbone.

Love the shape and size, not so sure about the color. Maybe it will grow on me as I am an avid Oregon Ducks fan...

It's funny, I really love the color. It would look better with the badger but the color is still great!

Yes! What a treat! Thank you for sharing Phil. That handle looks stunning. Even better than I imagined... The classic shape is very well executed, and coupled with the color, it is gorgeous. Excellent job sir. I can't wait to order one Biggrin
