Mother Earth News, a back to the land magazine, has an article on coffee roasting

I don't drink coffee let alone roast my own beans but thought some may find it interesting. The article links to a "how to" using a cast iron skillet.

I saw something on TV where they showed how to Roast Coffee by using a Air Pop-Corn Machine.

You need to put a screen up inside the exit port to prevent the beans from escaping the popper.

Then, you use a timer 3 to 8 minutes for how dark of a roast you want.

Lots of ways to start roasting. One interesting way is to use a heat gun. The same heat guns as used to strip paint. Can be done outside no smoke or chaff in house

I used to roast beans at home for about 5 years. Roasting in small batches, you'll have the freshest coffee, you'll ever drink.
