I used this for the first time this morning and I love it. The performance is what you'd expect from an artisan soap and the scent is simply amazing. I've been told it smells like British Sterling but I cannot confirm that myself as I don't have that aftershave. It has a unique fragrance, that much I know.

Try it if you get a chance, it's a winner IMO.

Well, you and Mike both seem to like this soap and it appears it works great with the new Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic brush.

I like to think of it as a sleeper soap. It hasn't caught on yet but it's very good.

I found out that these shaving soaps are all vegetarian. I always like to support those who offer a vegetarian option.

I took delivery of a couple of Catie's Bubbles soaps today. It is quite a bit of soap (8 oz in each tub), but what caught my attention is that it is made in a similar manner and ingredient list to Martin de Candre. As MdC is my best performing soap I have been looking for soaps that are similar to it but at a lower cost. At 8 oz of soap that is roughly 226g of soap for just $20. This looks to be another great competitor in this arena. I need to spend more time deciphering both of these scents. They are quite complex and I may never really be able to describe them. I do know that they are both very nice and give a classy and refined feel to the product.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Water, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Glycerine, Fragrance.

I look forward to lathering these up tonight to get an idea of the water to soap ratio and then will most likely use the Santal Sensuelle tomorrow morning.

Forked River, NJ in Lacey Township. Now if you want it Jersey style, we'd just say Exit 74 on the Parkway Tongue

Would love to hear more scent description and strength of these two! Comparisons to other soap scents would be nice, as well.

I have another Catie's Bubbles soap coming tomorrow and I'm anxious to try it. I've tried two so far and have enjoyed both.

Ooh that's only 40 exit-miles from me, I think I need to order some!

It will be interesting to see comparisons with LASS, Tiki, and MdC.

Bob, after only a few test lathers and a single shave I think it's clearly in the same league as Tiki. I haven't used LASS but to me Tiki, Dapper Dragon, and Catie's Bubbles all are top tier soaps at extremely reasonable prices. Pretty much find a scent that you love and just enjoy some great shaves for months to years to come. Biggrin

Simply intoxicatingly incredible aroma smells to me a lot like i'coloniali mango seed oil soap. Performance is equally superb. Wish it wasn't out of stock on the site or I would order more. This is top shelf no question.

I always found CB to be not slick enough and it left my face feeling too dry after using. Great scents though.

Very interested in trying this as Catie's is definitely one of the top artisan brands for me.
