Today is the most exciting 2 minutes in sports as 20 horses will run for the Roses. In honor of the Kentucky Derby I decided to pull out a Derby Blade which I have not really cared for with my Tech or my Parker 89R. Today I used my new Muhle 102 Razor that has the same head and aggressivness as the Muhle 41R. Well, the Derby Blade combined with the 102r gave me a "Smooth as a Baby's Bottom" shave today. I followed up with cold water rinse, alum bloc rub, then another cold water rinse then I towel dried and used some of my homemade aftershave (skin food). My face feels great and my selection for todays race is I'll Have Another 12 to 1 odds and second place I chose Daddy Nose Best at 15 to 1 odds.

We are having a Cinco de Mayo celebration on our little town square as I type this. I plan on walking up there in just a few minutes. My town is very small, but I am less than 30 min from Dallas.

Yep, and I'll Have Another, #19, made some a good bit of 'scratch'. Boy I blew that one.

I don't much like shaving with Derby blades, but it is absolutely true that they're easier to find in a retail store than many other brands. I think it prudent to at least try to like them a bit, given just that one reason. I posted a reply on another Derby thread that you might enjoy:
