I received my new brush cunningly devised by Sir Brian (782sirbrian).
A special brush for me, since it contains a "gem-proof" US quarter that was minted in my birth-year, and in the city which I was born (San Francisco, CA) indicated by the tiny "S" seen to the right of the head.
The brush handle is made from British Oak (since I now live in the UK indefinitely) with a High-Mountain White 22mm knot from Wet Shaving Products (no significance other than a kick-ass knot) set at 48mm.
I've got big "meat-hooks" for hands so I needed a large handle, but it needed to fit my stand so we came up with the idea to have a slot cut in the handle.
Brush specs:
Knot: 22mm
Loft: 48mm
Total height: 115mm

I've given it a few test lathers to clean the knot and let it bloom. Wow, softest tips of all my brushes but with enough backbone to lather my hard soaps.
I'm VERY happy with it. Thanks Brian!

Thanks guys. I love it. I think this knot is softer than any of my M&F brushes. It even rivals my Rooney "heritage" brush in softness.
