I am having a buddy make a handle to match this one but was curious what size the tap needs to be to be most universal. Anyone know what it is?

Someone on another forum made a handle out of a center punch from Harbor Freight. I can't find the thread right now, but I believe he tapped a 10/32 thread into it. If I can find it, I'll confirm. I'm sure someone here has the answer if I'm wrong.

Yes, 10-32 is the size, but it's not universal. I have a FaTip and it has different threading. It will only accept other FaTip handles. Why? I remain clueless.
