I picked up this #58 not too long ago for a bargain. I cleaned it up today and just noticed that on one side of the razor the doors don't sit evenly, the other side shuts perfectly.

The razor closes nice and tight on both sides and there is no resistance when closing the tto. I already tried putting a blade in it and it won't even out. Should I be concerned about this? I can't tell if the exposure of the blade is compromised on either side. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's a problem that will affect its performance or function. I agree it affects it's aesthetic but the business part of the blade is along the comb and not the top. Frankly I think you have a beauty on your hands!

Thanks. I ended up applying some pressure little by little on the problem door with the tto open one full turn and was able to get to where it's hardly noticeable with out compromising the other side. I shaved with it earlier and it gave me a bbs shave but with a 2 nics. It was my fault since I believe underestimated the aggressiveness plus I loaded it with a red personna with 3 shaves on it. Next time I will pay closer attention. It's a keeper!
