I am strongly considering an Atlas. Trying to decide between the R2 and H2. I have used the 2013 R41 with no issues. Just wish it was smoother. Same with the FaTip. Currently using a FatBoy set on 6 and a Ranger Tech. I go for a BBS most times which requires 3 passes plus buffing especially on my upper and lower lips. I am leaning toward the H2.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The H2 (OC) is less aggressive razor then the H1 of what I heard. I don't know much about the R1 but would think one notch down from the H1. Pick your poisonSmile A lot also depends on the blade your using.

Part of the beauty of the ATT heads is that they feel less aggressive on the face than they shave. In other words, they are very effective razors but don't feel all that aggressive. My experience is with the M1/R1/H1. Based on what I've read about the R41 & fatip I would suggest starting with the H2.

Stan does have a 30 day return policy so if you don't like it you can always exchange it for eithr the H1 or the R2.

I have both the R2 and H2 and I too like the R41 2013 razor. I would strongly suggest the H2 for you. I kept both because I like both, but if you're just looking for one, then it's the H2.

Here's a chart of ATT aggressiveness with respect to other razors you may know: http://abovethetie.com/?faq

Is the consensus that the OC is a little less aggressive than the bar counter part?
R2 is less aggressive than R1?

Do not know from experience.

I've read it both ways. I just read a post on another forum that stated the M2 was slightly more aggressive than the M1 and I also read elsewhere today the R2 is milder than the R1.

The blade gaps are identical.

Thanks, seems like it is just personal preference between the OC and closed bar.
