Strange title for a soap forum but it must be true. Discovered this morning that I'm out of "FAT" Sad. How the heck did that happen? That's almost as bad as being out of coffee.

Wife informs me my son took a puck back to Madison with him on Saturday when he was up visiting.

I informed my son this morning, next time you're up, DO NOT mess with my "FAT".

An emergency order has been placed.

I tried it recently (2 days ago) and reacted VIOLENTLY to something in the fragrance. My face hurt for a full day and still hasn't entirely returned to normal. Want to buy mine? Tongue

If I had not already ordered some I sure would. I've never had that reaction from MWF. One of the mildest soaps I own.

I can't take the lanolin...probably something to do with emptying the vats of hides as a kid in my dads business. I can't use hardly anything that has a substantial amount of lanolin or other fatty esters, but I can use Tallow, so go figure...

I do love the scent of MWF...sort of wish they had just a cologne without the actual fat..

I hadn't ever heard of the Mitchell's before joining the online shaving community back around Christmas, but I soon became interested in what folks had to say about it, and in fact it's the only lather I've used since I picked up a puck in January some time. Absolutely brilliant stuff!

Mine is still barely half gone, but I agree that this is something I will always want to have to hand. I'll deal any borrowers as they come! Wink

I've tried many before and since - but MWF is best for me.

Another major shaving regret is not being able to use this soap, for the same reasons. Bummer.

Johnny, At least your son has good taste. He was clearly taught well. My son absconded with my leather travel case for my razor and my travel case for my brush. He did, however, keep his hands off my essential gear.

Ah! I remembered I had made up a MWF shave stick a few months back. Took the soap out of the tube, grated it, and pressed it in to my MWF Ceramic Dish. Great shave this morning with the "FAT".
