I can't resist this style of Gillette Super Speed DE. Found a nickle(?) one today to go with the gold one I have. They are so nicely made and shave smoothly. This one had a slight problem with one door one one end not coming down completely. A little judicious bending seems to have solved that and looking forward to giving her a whirl in the morning.

Nice pickup Bob, I think the 40's style is the best of the Super Speeds.

Thanks, I would have to agree with you on that. I think they cheapened up the later ones. Got lucky and picked t up locally for less than what it would cost me for just shipping from the US.

I've never had the chance to try any of the English Rockets, maybe one of these days I'll come across one.

Nice razor Bob.
The 40's superspeed has always been my 'go to' razor.
