You overseas chaps have it so good.

I looked everywhere here in Australia for someone who could re-plate a lovely vintage New I bought for $7.50 which, apart from needing re-plating, is in perfect condition. No cracks, nothing.

I did find a place nearby as it happens. But what was the quote for bright nickel? Guesses? You'll never guess, so Im just going to have to tell you:

$153

I won't tell you the cost for gold replating. Yes I will. $210.

I could send three to the UK and get them done in nickel for that price, including postage.

Unless any knowledgeable Aussies here know of a reputable, and reasonably-priced local enthusiast?
