The #2 paper in my area is what's left of the once great Chicago Sun-Times. It's a tabloid for easy reading on the train as opposed to the broadsheet Tribune or Daily Herald. Today on the right hand side was a heading ......

Hollywood Immortal Mickey Rooney Dead

It got me to wondering if editors exist anymore, of if anyone knows the meaning of immortal ....... Facepalm

Maybe they were just trying to be ironic. I told my wife that he had died, and she said, "You mean he was still alive?"

No, I know the sun-times, they weren't shooting for irony. Sadly.

I can understand your wife's statement, his first film (a short) was released in 1926.

factoid #1: Mickey has died.
factoid #2: editors still exist.
factoid #3: existing editors do not know the meaning of immortal. Biggrin
