So...some time ago I ended up finding this shaving cream on Connaught when they were in the 'seconds' bin.
At a total of $6 including shipping for TWO tubes...I decided to take a gamble on them.
They've been lying on my shelf for a month or so now but this morning I was curious to try out a cream with my brand new Robert Becker scuttle...and remembered this cream.

First of all, the name.
"Supermax Ultimate". Seriously? That just might be the worst name I've ever heard but...don't judge a book by its cover..or the soap by its inane name.
I did like that it said it contained Aloe Vera and Tea Tree extract.
Took out a tube and put an almond sized blob in the warm scuttle and began lathering up with my SOC boar brush.
It took a bit more work than the Cella did but after a 100 swirls or so I had what appeared to be a really nice, THICK lather.

Now, I don't know if this cream is supposed to be lathered in a bowl or directly on the face but I've come to realize that most any soap or cream can be used either way.
Scent: Basically none at all. I couldn't pick up on anything.
Performance: Now this is where this cream surprised me. Wow. The lather it produced had amazing staying power (I got a phone call in the middle of lathering...came back 10 mins later and the brush was still full of THICK lather with nice peaks).
On my face it was creamy, thick and protective and gave an amazing shave.
So yeah, too bad about the name..but the performance really was....supermax
