I recently got a 1946-47 Aristocrat and like it, but find it kind of mild. I'm condiering getting a #66. Would the #66 give a more aggressive shave? I'm actually hoping to find a razor--maybe the #66?--in between the 1946-47 Aristocrat and my 1936 Aristocrat (the latter gives me slight razor burn).

Thanks. Would you say it is more mild then the razors I mentioned? That would help me put it in perspective.

I would say it's similar to the 46-47 Aristocrat maybe a little milder. I have the 48-50 Aristocrat and it's similar to that. It works well with a Feather blade.

Thanks, 782sirbrian. If that's the case, then I would not want one. The search for my next razor continues!

If it's an Aristocrat you're looking for the 21 is more aggressive a bit like a 15 with safety bar instead of open comb.
Good luck in your search.

+1. The 21 is more or less the most agressive sb aristocrat that you can find (excluding the adjustables).

You may find the #66 is a bit milder than the 1946-47 aristocrat.

Within the british aristocrats the next step up would be a #16. If you find your 1936 a bit "uncomfortable" I would not consider the #21 nor the #15.

Thank you all. Tony SC - that is exactly what I was wondering. I'll keep an eye out for the #16 then as my next razor.
