I really want to try an Italian "croap" for the first time. I plan on buying either Razorock XXX or Cella. I have heard great things about both. What say you? (I'm sure I will end up buying both eventually, just wondering which I should buy first) Thanks!

If you like marzipan, go with Cella. If you like more 'complex' scent, go with XXX. Both are great soaps.

Both are good soaps. I prefer the scent of XXX and it lathers easier that Cella.

Both are great. My face reacts to the Razorock XXX but I can use Cella without issue. If you have sensitive skin (as I do) this is something to keep in mind. If you tend to not react to products, you may prefer the scent of the XXX.

i'd go with XXX for some variety. if you like XXX you'll likely enjoy the rest of the RR line. Cella is a trusted and solid performer. I don't quite enjoy the scent so it's not in my stable.

In no way does Cella smell like marzipan, in my opinion. In fact, I don't really care for the scent of Cella. A better choice for this type of croap would be Tcheon Fung Sing, which does smell of marzipan. It tends to be the same consistency as Cella and is also Italian. It whips up into a fine lather.

All of these are good croaps and you won't go wrong with any. My preference would be for RazoRock XXX. Scent aside, the XXX is one of the easiest lathering croaps, soaps, or creams I have used. Also, Cella and Tcheon Fung Sing are much closer to an actual soap whereas XXX is probably closer to my idea of a croap.

Again, any of these would be a fine choice.

I don't think Cella smells like almonds either, more like artificial cherry. Vitos, Valobra and P.160 all smell like almonds (marzipan), with P.160 having the strongest scent of those. None will knock your socks off scentwise though, they're all fairly mild.

I don't know about Razorock, but Cella IMO is the worst of the bunch as far as kind to the skin goes. It lathers great however. But I'm splitting hairs, they are all pretty good picks.

Cella and XXX are both great products that I use regularly, but I find myself reaching for XXX more often. XXX is faster loading, easily produces mounds of incredible lather, has a better more complex scent, and costs less. The Razo Rock croaps I've tried will always be in my rotation, even if the price were to triple I feel they would be worth it.

they both make good lather. I personally prefer cella just because it feels slicker. I think its essential.

I've never tried Cella yet, but I'd probably go with it since it's a classic and an inspiration for the RazoRock soaps.

Both are nice... The RazoRock XXX smells better, IMHO. Cella doesn't smell so good, and the scent fades after some time. But either of them is a good choice. Smile

I acquired both of them not too long ago. Both of them lather great. However, I have observed that in the past 2 months, I have used Cella once or twice but Razorock (XXX/MdB) seem be in the rotation practically every other day. That despite the fact that I 'suffer' from SCAD and SSAD and have been exploring some really good artisan soaps during the past few weeks.

I've never tried Cella, but I have to say that I really like using the Razorock Original SC/SS. It's a Great croap and it has a light sent of sweet almond's.

I prefer XXX over Cella. I'm surprised though that no one has mentioned picking up the XXX first as it may not be available for much longer. I don't think Cella is going anywhere anytime soon. So my first priority would be the XXX based solely on that.

I've tried both and honestly I would go with the XXX over the Cella. Cella smelled like maraschino cherries to me.

+1. Get the XXX and you may not want the Cella.

I'd take either but Cella is a wonderful performer but the scent does get to you if you don't like the smell of almond or marizapan.

XXX might be harder to get later down the road, so I'd probably get that solely on the fact that if you want it later you might not be able to find it
