When I got home tonight there were a few things in my mailbox. My new Semogue 620, Muhle Silvertip Fibre brush and Dapper Dragon Ice Wyrm soap.

The second I opened the DD I knew I was in love. Very nice pepperminty smell with a bit more complexity to it. I did a quick "break in" on the boar and went to the puck. Now I know this brush isn't the best at bowl lathering but I did it anyway just to play with it. I did a hand lather as well and that was just incredible. Here are my pics of the bowl lather:

When I did the hand lather I didn't notice that crazy menthol chill but a nice soothing feeling and the scent was heavenly. I'm usually pretty critical of scents... as you can tell from my BST listings Smile This one is a winner and one that will not leave me any time soon. I really am excited to hit it with my Shavemac and Simpsons and see what this stuff really has to offer!

I know that I didn't actually shave with it yet but I didn't have time but will report back as soon as I do!

This soap will continue to impress once you really put it through its paces. There won't be a menthol kick as there isn't any menthol, just a nice cooling from the peppermint oil.

Enjoy your shaves with it. I know that I do.

Looks like a great soap! So many out there to try. Also once your 620 is broken in bowl lathering will be a lot easier.

What a wonderful shave with it this morning. Just enough cooling, nice and slick and not to tough to lather. Definitely a keeper!

Glad you are enjoying it too!

Eric has some great scents and this particular one pairs nicely with a pre-washing with Dr Bronner peppermint soap Biggrin

How does this scent compare to Mike's Peppermint rosemary?

As soon as someone sends me some to try I'll compare it Wink

Joking aside I haven't tried it so I don't know. Not a ton of herbal on this though so I'm thinking that would be the biggest difference.

Yeah, I don't get any herbal quality. The black pepper in the background isn't directly noticeable to me, but rather it seems to round out the peppermint and keeps it from being too sweet. It's subtly complex.

Very well said Brian! I think you hit the nail on the head perfectly. It's not that crazy peppermint scent but a toned down cooling nice scent and feel.

Now did someone say they were going to send me some Mike's or was I mistaken Smile

Hate to revive an old thread, but I just received mine today and WOW! Incredible amounts of lather with just minimal loading. Very thick, slick lather too. I just did a test lather on my hand, but I'm impressed.

I'll shave with it tomorrow, but I imagine it will be wonderful!

So I shaved with it today. It's a VERY nice soap. I've always bought (newbie, so take it with a grain of salt) tallow soaps. I was really surprised by this vegan soap though! Very easy to lather, very nice and slick lather, just a joy to use!

Now I'm going to have to try some other scents. This is a remarkable soap for a wonderful price! Way more value than what you pay!

Great Job Dapper Dragon!

To me, this soap smells like those butter mints they used to always have at weddings. Very nice!
