Shaved with my Cobra this morning (as I regularly do) and felt that my first pass wasn't as smooth as I'm used to. I was using a Kai Mild blade and I just thought that it had come to the end of its life, which is 4 shaves for me.

I continued with my usual 2 pass shave. If it was a DE blade, I'd have changed it immediately, but it wasn't, so I didn't.

Finished the shave which was certainly far from disastrous and removed the blade for disposal.

To my surprise I had 2 blades!

Does this mean I've been shaving with a cart?

Do you have any idea how you loaded 2 blades?

Only 2 blades? Gillette suggests you use 5. Wink

Not really. I remove blades between uses. They were really stuck together. I'm wondering if they came out of the packet that way? Huh

Nope, I definitely had coffee though...

OJ not spiked. The bottle of Greygoose is still in the freezer and besides I take my spirits neat.

I'd be struggling to fit a third in, never mind 5! Biggrin

* * * MYSTERY SOLVED * * *

Well it happened again this morning, but I noticed at the time of loading.

My dispenser of Kai blades is issuing 2 blades at a time!

The blades are stuck together, but there is about half a millimetre of the underneath blade exposed.
So visually there is an indicator and of course it feels slightly heavier and stiffer.
I was able to relatively easily pry the two blades apart before commencing another unwanted multi blade Gillette cart style inspired shave.

Needless to say I'll be scrutinising each delivery from this particular Kai dispenser!

That's interesting, Ben.

Now you can strike 'shimming a Cobra' off the list of things to try ... Biggrin
