I don't get that at all. In my olfactory view, XX is FAR more floral than Floid Blue and is lacking the powdery, leathery quality present in both the Blue and its less expensive Aqua Velva cousin. I can't say that I've ever tried or heard of a soap that bore even a passing resemblance to Floid Blue, but I'm very interested to hear some of the possible contenders.

I agree. To me, the primary notes of XX are floral, while Floid Blue is powdery.
I, too, cannot think of soap or cream similar in scent to the Floid Blue.

I was on the same journey in looking for a Floid Blue scented shave soap. Love the scent in the summer. I could not find one. I ended up with a solution that works for me. I bought Barrister and Mann unscented shave soap and add two drops of Blue floid in the bowl or spritz the top of the puck when I face lather. End of the search for me. Barrister and Mann shave soaps are top notch in my opinion and very reasonably priced for their performance.

Well that's one way to solve the problem.
