I was given this razor yesterday but I've never seen one before. It appears to be made completely of pewter. There is no name or serial # anywhere on the razor. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Looks like a Barbasol copy. I have one similar, but I think mine is made of brass. My handle looks just like a Barbasol handle but no name on it and the razor is a 3 piece. It is also not the floating head design.

I too was thinking Brabesol clone. The head looks very similar.

I have one like that with different handle mine is a royal crown razor. Mine is made of steel and it looked just like that when I got it. I'm almost positive that one is steel too

Sure looks like some derivative or predecessor of the Barbasol one!

I started looking through Waits compendium and there were so many "clones" in the 1920s and 1930s that it is really hard without a Maker's Mark or a box that provides identification to distinguish between them all. I guess this is an Ode to the Unknown Razor.
