I started using the Mach3 last year, and it was a pleasant surprise that it worked as well as it did. The shave quality rivaled that of my old injector with NOS Schick Plus Platinum blades. But I'm letting the current Turbo cart run out and will replace it instead with 2- and 3-blade Feathers to see how they compare.

Mach 3 for me, but I use a Sensor when I travel; I don't know why I make this distinction and I'll likely go all Mach 3 when my supply of Sensor blades runs out.

Sensor and Fusion fot the cheek and neck...works great...I have many custom Fusions but my favorite is the basic model I took all the plastic off on the handle and just use the metal frame except fro the part you attach the cartridge.

Is the Guard really a cartridge or is it just a single blade razor like the BIC Sensitive? I have not used one so I really do not know.

Guard is kind of a cartridge. It snaps onto a handle and pivots.

went with Hydro 3. tough beard ? FRAGILE skin ? <===not the worst razor I ever used.
sorry, didn't see this thread and dumped some blade info in the razor thread.

beginning of the end for me with Gillette, was the Sensor series. hated (or rather my neck hated) everything after the Tracll/Atra.
switched to Tracer/FX/diamond, fared okay with that for a spell, until they made THAT disappear.
finally, Twinblades started to reappear, on the 'bay at first, then Wilks began to show up,
Personna was nearly the only Twin game in town for quite a spell.

I liked the Sensor razor system with the either a Gillette or Personna cart.
Still have my handle but it doesn't get used these days. Blush

Anyone ever use the Mach 3 Sensitive Blades? If so, could you tell a difference or is it just a green gimmick?

Well, I answered my own question this morning. There is a difference other than the color. Not sure what it is, but it is different.

I could not use the regular Mach 3 cartridge but got a great 3-pass shave with the Mach 3 Sensitive.

They should make a Mach 2 cartridge for us 2-blade lovers.

Fusion for me.

I get fine shaves with them 50% of the time I use them, and decent shaves the other 50%.

I can use a Fusion blade for 30-40 shaves, when I strop the blade.

That's a lot of shaves. It's unbelievable to me how many some guys can get from both DE blades and cartridges. The Mach3 is my longest lasting, but that still only comes out to maybe half a dozen -- and half again for a Trac II.

Right now, it is Gillette Mach 3 and Ultra Fusion(??) I want to expand to the Feather cartridges and the Dorco cartridges as well. I don't use these often but when I do I want quality.

Johnny, it is a single blade cartridge. Just like any cartridge razor, one keeps the handle and replaces the cartridge. I much prefer it to the disposable BIC that you gave to me to try (though those BICs have improved since I had first tried them many years before).

Schick Quattro Titanium for me. For me, the Fusion feels like it's scraping the hair off while the Quattro slices as it glides. I get much less irritation with the Quattro. I wish I would have discovered it a few years ago... would have saved a lot of money compared to Fusions.
