Would you prefer a Pre-Shave Face Wash to be a gel or a bar?

I think a bar would be nice but don't know how it would work.

As do I freddy. Particularly a mentholated Pre-Shave Oil as of late. That being said many do not seem to feel they make a difference, even though I would almost guarantee a properly formulated Pre-Shave Oil makes a difference in the quality and ultimately the end result of a shave.
That being said everyone seems to realize the value in either a hot shower or at the very least a face wash pre shave. I really believe the product used can be optimized to maximize the effectiveness of this procedure, and again ultimately the quality of the shave. I know there are such products but again I feel it can be improved upon. I have been working on this for some time and have a bar formulation pretty well established. I just got to thinking that perhaps some might prefer a liquid or gel type product more, thus the poll.

I prefer the bar to a gel, and voted accordingly.

I tend to prefer solid products all around (shaving soaps to creams, bath soaps to bath gels, etc), so I'd definitely say Bar.

I do not think I would use either product. I have not washed my face with anything other than water in 5 years and the positive impact it had on my skin was undeniable.

Okay, but if I was going to use a pre-shave product, it would definitely be a bar. I too prefer solids to liquids and if something like this could potentially improve my shave, maybe, just maybe I would consider it.

Bar. Doubtful that I would purchase a pre-shave soap. I must say though, every WSO product that I tried has been fantastic.

I don't leave any soap on my skin from my preshave wash, so a gel would be very convenient for in the shower.

I think a Bar would be best Jim. Thats my humble opinion. I opted for a certain "R" Pre-Shave Bar with Menthol & Lime. I love the stuff as a fix for morning when I cant shave, but want that clean "pre-shave feeling!" I probably am defeating some purpose by using it that way, but while in the shower I reach over for it and use it as a face wash.

I have used it for its tradtional 'pre-shave,' although im still insanely partial to your wonderful & superior pre-shave oils! (Hopefully the Mentholated version shows up today!)

If a bar is the end product, I hope it is formulated carefully. MR Glyce has finally started to cause me skin burning for some reason.

I would choose a bar. Something a little different that is moisturizing would be insanely popular. I wish I could use MR Glyce daily but it dries my face out bad.
