I don't mean to gloat; in an earlier post I did mention I was going to check out a stash a guy that I met was selling.

Well, I did go out .... and LOOK at PART of what I acquired Smile

These are only the brushes Smile

From L to R:

1 Australian Gowing Bros pure badger (probably a Vulfix)
1 Simpson Wee Scot butterscotch
1 Kent pure bristle hand made brush (model W32) original package, mint
1 unknown make British made ceramic handle boar brush
1 Culmak 'Spartan' boar brush, original package, mint
1 Omega boar
1 Simpson Chubby 1 Super Badger (lamp black stamp)
1 Kent V10 butterscotch pure badger (more like super badger)
1 Simpson Commodore X3 butterscotch, Best Badger

I also bought a range of Floris soaps (3) each in box and wooden bowl (Elite; No. 89; and Rose Geranium), maybe 1970s/80s?; 1 wooden bowl of Yardley "Original"; a British red tip superspeed in good, usable condition; a Swedish "Swing' razor in bakelite case; a Schick butterscotch handle injector, and some lovely vintage soaps including a glass jar of Yardley soap (stick), possibly 1920s. Plus an assortment of single vintage razors and a few other bits and pieces.

Like I say, don't like to gloat Smile

Oh, you're saying, how much did I pay?

Not saying :0

I washed some of the brushes and WHOOPS! The Kent V10 decal just slid off straight down the sink. Meh. A white ghost on the catalin, hmmm. Next time I will have to try nail varnishing the decal first. Silly me.

Congratulations. In fact you probably feel bad for paying so little. Sharing them with some other forum members at fantastically low prices would help to ease your guilt. I would be happy to help you out in this situation.
LOL
Good for you and again congrats. You are acquiring some beautiful items of late and fantastic, well downright jaw dropping prices.

Wow, what a great find! Congratulations!

Regarding Kent's shaving brushes... all of them are stamped "pure badger" (meaning "100% badger hair"), regardless of the hair grade.
Even the silvertip ones are marked like that... current and vintage models alike.

So, even if they are stamped "pure badger", they could well be "best badger or "silvertip badger".

Once again, congratulations! Smile

Yes, Emmanuel, shame I lost the decal, could kick myself. It's a V10, I have no idea of the value or the date. Any clues??

Also note the other little Kent boar brush.

I'll attach a little pic in a second, but for the request above also a pic of the Swing Swedish which I have just cleaned up Smile

Jeff, here you are (bit foggy, not sure what the problem is):

...and assembled next to the Wee Scot I also picked up Smile

This is the pure bristle Kent (W32 model)...says hand made, but doesn't look like what I would called hand-made. Mint though. May not use it. Just came with the other stuff. I tried to research it, but came up with nothing. First I have seen, and so it's here for the record.

Great score!

Seems to me that a moderate amount of Gloating is acceptable. BiggrinBiggrin
