Maiden voyage for my Rudy Vey 20mmX40mm in D01 2 Band. Spectacular density! Rudy suggested the Keyhole handle and it is perfect

Nice Keyhole shaped brush! I don't think I would be a flattop fan..prefer bulbs...but the beauty of Mr. Vey's work is apparent.

Last year I took a spin on a Vie Long flat top, and it is without a doubt one of the coolest things I did for my shaving. It is so different and luxurious that Rudy's work was commissioned. You don't need much size-these things get HUGE quick. The Vie Long is 24x48 and when you get it on your face, it's ginormous. The sweet spot is the 20x40 size. Got a horse in a fan (my first fan) and that's quite different too, as my preference is to face lather

I have a shavemac flat top in 3-band. When I first used it I didn't like it very much, but over time I've begun to really like it; it will have a permanent spot in my rotation now.

I would expect a flat-top D01 2-band to be too dense and stiff to use easily, but yours appears to have bloomed very nicely, much more than my bulb-shaped ones have.

Very nice brush! I love Rudy's craftsmanship.

I really enjoy face lathering with the D01 two band flat top. I think that knot shape is perfect for taming the beast that is D012B

NS-Rudy called the handle material "Dark Amber" and it has a swirl in it
Dustin-It could also be called Howie Long!
John-So far so good. After a break in period I'll let you know how it develops
