Now that Johnny is into twin blade cartridge razor, he may want to try the Lord Premium Plus. It is nothing fancy but if you happen to leave it behind in the hotel room, it will not be the end of the world.

The Atra lives in a Lord. Very nice and well worth the price.

Are Trac/Atra/Vector/Contour different names to the sane mount?

Galhatz, I'm not familiar with the Vector, so I can't speak to it.

The Trac II was the first cartridge razor (Gillette's, at least) and it doesn't have a pivoting head.

I bought a Gillette Contour (twin blade and pivoting head) when I lived in Portugal. When I moved back to the US, I discovered that they called the same razor the Atra.

Vector i believe is the current name.
I was wondering if the razor handle mount is the same so an older non pivoting handle can work with the recent ones.

The Vector name is used in India and South East Asia. Contour is used for Europe and international developed markets. In Eastern Europe it is the Slalom. In China it is also the Contour. The Vector carts use the push button that was initially developed by Schick.

That sums it up nicely. Thanks for the explanation, Sabre.

I bought a Contour/Vector (with a Gillette blade) at the store the other day as they are very cheap here.
One shave with it and I was not impressed at all - it was very mild and required lots of passes with pressure to get anything that resembles an acceptable result.
Very much how I feel about Mach3 carts.

Are the Lord carts any better?
I am looking for a good yet cheap travel/gym friendly solution.

So far I have been most impressed by the Feather FII Neo carts, but they are pricey...
