Had to post this up here too, little copy pasta

Had to get up extra early this morning for an appointment before work, did my usual routine of shower and getting started on my daily shave. Had my Chubby 2 two band in the mug of water ready when I got out of the shower. Grabbed my Synergy Soap and begin my lather build up, was looking damn fine as I began to face lather....damn fine...so at this point about 75 of facial area was lathered and the damn thing slipped out of my hands..........yeah...

At this point when someone goes through an incident like this they always ask, is there a god? if so what did I do wrong? did my girl put any grease on the handle to initiate the slip? did the dog have anything to do with it? Do I evict the cat just to show that I am still able to maintain dominance around the household?

ahhhhh well. Loved this brush too, such a pain when I was trying to add more Simpson two bands and instead I am going backwards. Just wanted to share my story, if any of you guys know anyone that is selling any two band Simpsons please let me know. Hoping Rudy can salvage the knot and add a new handle.

That is a tragedy, pbnj, and it made me cringe just to look at the pictures. I offer my most sincere condolences.

So so sorry. I've dropped many brushes and imagine seeing this but have gotten lucky so far. On the plus side I now know what the inside of a simpson looks like. But at such a high cost Sad

Sorry about your brush!

However, the brush is not dead, only injured.

I would send it to Rudy Vey to salvage the knot and duplicate the handle (or you can choose a new one).

Really sorry to see that...

I have read previously that you can send the brush back to Simpson and they can probably place your knot in a new authentic handle. Just thought I'd mention it in case it was something you were interested in exploring. As much as I love my CH2 in 2 band, if it was me, that would be the route I would try Smile

Whatever route you choose, I wish you the best of luck and hopefully this situation results in a positive outcome that leaves you happy.

Oh my, how unfortunate.

I actually dropped my D3 yesterday (but only a few inches high) and I still think my heart skipped a beat!

I do hope you're able to get that knot into a new handle (Mark will surely be able to help), a CH2 Super is definitely worth the bother.

Ouch.

Send an email to Mark (Simpson). I'm confident he can work with you in terms of re-handling the brush.

Good luck.

If you only dropped the brush and it wasn't thrown down, that's serious damage. I have to think that there must have been a flaw on the plastic, either internal or one not visible on the inside the knot hole. My condolences on your loss nonetheless.
