I'm heading out to do some antiquing with the family today. I'm very excited since we are heading to a town that I've not antiqued in before. I've hit pretty much everything within a 30-45 minute radius from where I live. I plan on taking some quick picks of what I notice today that is shave related. So this thread could have lots of pics or none. Follow along with me & feel free to share stories of your best and/or worst hunting trip.

I went out the other day and found a lot of great things--not shaving related. I'm always looking for things that can be restored and made functional again.
Good luck and have fun.
BTW, I should start taking my camera because I found some truly awesome items that came from a very old barber shop. A massive copper towel steamer that you need to see.... ahhhh screw it, I'm going out too. LOL
If those items are still there I'll get pics and prices.

Ignorance showing here, but what's the Frameback?
The top straight razor in your picture. The blade is seemingly held in a frame. Seems to be in decent condition too and I'm sure some SR collector might love it. Depends on the price though.

Is it a true straight or more like a shavette?

Should be a true straight, just a different blade style. What's the name on it?

@Dave, there were 2 1912 in that mug of assorted razors. One barely opened & the other barely stayed shut. I'll keep looking!
Yes, a screw! I couldn't get it to turn at all. Most of the DEs there didn't even have the baseplate. Just handles screwed onto the heads. I was sorely disappointed.

That's just sad... A screw though? Why would someone do that?

The name on it is Bryford. I just zoomed in on my picture. I'm going to go back to see what the price is. Any idea what a good price would be? Thanks again!

I think I'm going to offer $10 for the VAS & see what they say.

They wanted $15 for it. Upon inspection it really looked like you could slide the blade out & put a new one in the frame. I passed on it.
