And it was a really nice shave. This is my first stainless steel razor and it shaved beautifully. Heavy little sucker too. I tried a Personna, and hated it. Halfway through the shave, I switched to an Astra and it went much better. Lately, I've really been focusing on technique and it has greatly improved my shaves. I get it when others say that once your technique is sound, the equipment doesn't matter nearly as much.

Don't keep the blade inside the razor. Blades rust, the rust will stick to the razor and it is a pita to clean.
If it gets to the threads it can ruin them.
Enjoy your new razor.

It's a great razor and it isn't prone to bite you unless you get extremely careless. I think it's one of the best deals available.

Which handle did you choose? Enjoy your razor! Smile

I have on on its way and i can't wait. I got one with a tradere handle, but i'm wondering how it will compare to my current champ the shavecraft 101. thanks for the tip about not storing with a razor blade installed. happy shaving.

My DLC is one of my co-favorite razors, along with the Feather AS-D2. Thanks to another member, I now have a polished head on the way to try too. I'm looking forward to comparing them, since some folks experience them differently while others think there is little if any difference in the shaves.

I can't detect any difference between my polished Head and ARC. If there is one it's too subtle for me to notice. I have a DLC on it's way from your side of the Atlantic and I'm looking forward to trying them all out consecutively to try and find the reported differences between the three but if there is not any then I have three excellent and visually stunning pieces of engineering. With my PH, i loosen the razor a tad and run hot water through it and then sit it out to dry with the blade in it (razor still loosened a bit). Never a hint of rust and it's been 6 months. One thing I have noticed is that GSB's, for whatever reason, seem to be the only blade that rust when left in but it never transfers to the razor. However, with the ikon slant if you do the same thing it'll start to rust. I'm not sure if that's the difference in polished versus satin finish. No rusting issues with the Weber though(for me)!

I've had mine for several months and haven't had any rust problems. I do blow and residual water out of it though. Classic Handle PH, it's ended my razor search .

Over the years I tried many of the DE's on the market. After trying the Weber with a bulldog handle, I sold all my other DE's. It is a great razor at a very competitive price. Now all I have are two Webers and straights.

Love the Weber products. I can notice a difference between the DLC and the PH. Maybe one day I'll complete my collection with an ARC.

I love the Weber, I sold off all of my DE razors, with the exception of the polished Weber. I've been using it for over a year and I just rinse it and toss it in the medicine cabinet on a folded up paper towel to catch excess water. I change the blade about once per week, I scrub/clean the razor about every 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks if I'm extra lazy...never had rust issues. On the other hand, I used to own the iKon OC/SB set, the recent version with the matte finish, and I had a hell of a time with rust. It would literally start staining the razor after 1-2 days, it must be the texture or something.

I do the same thing after each use but I've never had rusting with GSBs. I do change blades after four uses though, and clean the razor thoroughly every three or four weeks. (I live by the ocean so anything that can rust will, if I don't maintain my stuff, razors or otherwise.)

I also have a Weber with a bulldog handle and really like it. It's more aggressive than I thought it would be.

I own both the Weber with the Classic and the Bulldog. Shaves awesome. Very nice quality for the price.
