My wife is having a Tea Party for the neighbors tomorrow. She made this cake. Yes it is a Vanilla cake with butter cream frosting. It is made to look like a Coach purse but is really a cake. Hard to believe. Had to brag. For the tea I roasted a very nice Guatemalan

After the Tea Party. For those of you who might think it was not a cake or a photo shop something or other. Here is what it looked like when the neighbor ladies finished with it.

Barry, looks like the cake was inside the purse and it looks like the ladies did a nice job eating it! Did you get any? Biggrin

Looks(ed) great. Hard to believe it was not a purse.

You left out the key issue - how did it tasteSmile

Was the buttercream frosting flavored to match the color?

It turns out that you can not carve a cake made from a mix. This was a scratch cake with home made frosting. It was one of the best tasting cakes I have ever tasted. My wife is considering making a cake modeled after a Ford Model T next.

* Looking forward to seeing a pic of this!

Barry, maybe you can convince your wife to make a razor and brush cake! Biggrin

Today's cake. My wife made it for Fathers Day. I think it is more a spring time cake.

Barry, your wife does amazing work. I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty to put the cake right side up and also shrink it slightly so the yellow bar doesn't run across the top of the photo.
