Does that really look like a slant?
More like a straight bar.
Should I have my eyes checked?

Look at the top cap and its relationship to the base rather than fixating on the base itself...

Indeed it is not as profound as our Badger iKon Badger, but not many are.

It actually looks better than modern slants, still functions like a guillotine though Biggrin

Can't see the slant from pictures either. It looks like a copy of the standard Nadelspitzen or Mulcuto Schrägschnitt razor design to me! Smile

It definitely looks like the Mulcuto diagonal. I guess it makes sense for Ikon to stay in the same family of razors. The Mulcuto is maybe the best and most comfortable diagonal slant out there. To have it reproduced and possibly tweaked in stainless is a good thing.

This is the razor with a plastic base plate but exactly the same to the all metal version.

Agreed, but I thought that the Shavecraft line of razors was not stainless steel. Am I wrong?
I have the 101 and love it, but I have been thinking it is not stainless.

I believe they are made of UNOBTANIUM....exotic mystery metal only available to RAD effected Razor collectors.....whatever they are they will outlast any one of us especially because most of us will use it a few times and then buy another 'must have' shaving device.....facts are facts.....HuhConfusedLightbulb

this razor looks cool, but does it look like the diagonal slant posted above? it would be nice to get a straight AP shot

i think the shavecraft head was supposed to be aluminum. i am quite enjoying mine.

The handle is stainless steel, but the head is aluminum.
Still a very good design, the 101.
If logic follows, the 102 would be made the same way.

This is what I thought. Thanks.

I do love my 101, and am interested in the 102, as well.

Yes,
I guess aluminum for the head is correct. I got carried away. Still will make a great razor.
