I pulled the trigger on this one a few weeks back It was finally delivered today, A NOS vintage Japanese Three Kings half hollow and a tad under 7/8 made for Barbers, the razor came via an old Barbers supplies in Tokyo and is probably about 50 years old and had the sharpest edge I've ever seen out of the box just finished stropping the razor on my Kanayama absolutely wickedly sharp.

Believe me If I told you what I paid for the razor you would be shocked, but in a good way. :-)

Hi Lando,

I also was of the same opinion but it appears the Japanese use the Solingen connection to indicate some sort of western marketing ploy for their home grown market, I have owned Japanese razors that say real German ground when in fact they are made and produced in Japan early marketing ploy as the Solingen were seen as a mark of quality.

Just beautiful. To shave with that razor must make the shave feel very right, like this is why I like shaving. Smile

Jamie, that's stunning. Are a sucker for the white and red scales, with the gold wash. What's the wedge material? Can't tell on my ipad.. it looks like there are liners on the wedge..
