So I have an ATT Atlas M2 on the way. I've read so many great things about the ATT I'm considering getting another 3 plates.

In addition to the M2 I have a Weber, Joris, and Muhle R89.

What would compliment my current razors?

While I love the Joris, it's a bit too aggressive and I tend to use it when I have time and a day or two of stubble. I get a decent shave with the R89 and Weber. I also recently got rid of an iKon slant and Merkur 37c (slant)...No issues just prefer "traditional" open comb and closed comb DE razors.

I recently bought an ATT Atlas R2.

I would say the R2 isn't as aggressive as my Fatip on a bulldog handle (your Joris would be very similar to this).

It's a nice smooth shave like the Fatip though, i prefer the R2 head on my Weber Bulldog & UFO handle though.

I've read the M plates are slightly more aggressive than the Weber heads.

I'm wondering about the H plates myself, how they would compare to an iKon Standard (2013) and a Fatip.

My new R2 came in last week, and it is just a bit less aggressive than the Plisson OC of mine. I find it to be the right balance for an OC. Don't think I'd like the H series. The M probably is too similar to other razors in my repertoire

The H series is more aggressive than my Joris but not as aggressive as my 2011 R41. You might be happier with the R1 or 2 plate.

I'm inclined to get an R2 and, possibly an R1. Any other opinions on the H1 & H2?

I think that ATT makes great razors....I enjoy shaving with my Kronos M1 & M2.

Thanks for the posts. Out of curiosity, how do the open comb variations compare to their closed come counterparts?

I have the R2 and H2. Both are great, but the H2 just gives me a better shave. It takes a little getting use to the H2, because of the different angle and pressure needed. I haven't really thought about buying another razor since I got it.

Dave, I only have one SB plate, an H1. Compared to the H2 plate, it is a bit less smooth for me, requires a bit more attention to detail.

Has the M2 arrived?
