Gentlemen,

It had been a while since I used Mama Bear soap. I think it was mostly because my tub of it had been hidden behind a stack of Tabac. This morning I treated myself to a shave with one of my preferred fragrances of Mama Bear: Ye Olde Barbershope.

The luxurious lather with its comfortable glide and cushion produced a pleasing shave. The Muhle Style butterscotch and matching brush complemented the ritual. I'm glad I found my Mama Bear. This reminded me of a magazine article I had written a couple years ago on owner Sue Clark and Mama Bear soap. Here is the link. Enjoy.
Thanks.

Have Mama's pipe aroma shaving soap and it's the closest I am allowed to get to the real thing nowadays. Seems I am fondest of the aromas that evoke memories.

Great article Obie. Mama Bears is a personal favorite of mine. It lathers great and provides a very good shave. Not to mention she has what is in my opinion the most comprehensive scent selection any where. I have 8 of her 4 oz soaps and I plan on getting MANY more in the coming years. My favorites are YE OLDE BARBER SHOP, Good Morning Honey!(no longer made), Mandarin Ice, Spellbound Woods, and Awakenings.
Due yourself a favor and check out her site. Sue is a pleasure to deal with and an absolute A+ vendor.

Gentlemen,
I have known Sue for a number of years and held many conversations with her. She is charming and a delight to deal with. Last year I had planned to visit her in northern Wisconsin, about a seven-hour drive from my home, but that did not happen. I have the trip on my schedule this summer and perhaps I'll make it this time. Indeed, quality soaps created by a charming and talented lady. Mama Bear soaps are worth the try.

Obie, thanks! I've never given too much time to MB soaps but do agree they lather very nicely. I may have to "discover" my Dragon's Tears soon.

Travis,
I believe she does. Why I say this is because her home and business went up in flames last year. She has probably rebuilt, although I am not sure, since it's a while since we've chatted. I'll drop her a note and see how things are coming along. I also need another tub or two of her soaps.

Thanks Obie.

I heard she lost her home in a fire that's to bad. A terrible thing to happen to anybody. I read that on leisure guy's blog about 4 months ago and I placed an order with her figuring anything would help. If you could see what's going on with that I would appreciate it I've been curios.

Brad,
Phone the site and see what happens. I don't have the number, but Google should take care of it.

I remember the site saying that as she is hearing impaired, she did not offer a phone option for contacting her.

I have the same problem with my anti virus program. I am using Defender Pro and I have to go in and change a custom setting under anti virus to not scan http traffic. After I am done on the site I switch it back. Hope this helps you would enjoy the site. The site is 100% safe by the way.

Awakenings for sure. I know you are a menthol lover and this will NOT let you down. It's very strong in both menthol and peppermint, it's ice cold and smells great. It's my favorite menthol soap or cream and I think you would find it to be one of the coldest you've used.

Good deal I'm sure you will be impressed. I would be interested to hear once you've used it how it compares to other of the "coldest" menthol soaps and creams you've used especially those mentioned on your recent thread about it.

In an earlier post on this thread I said Good Morning Honey! was one of my favorite Mama Bears soaps but she no longer made it. When I checked last night she had it back in stock. It's a great soap and it smells so good. I cant go into my nook without smelling it every time before I walk out. It's just great.
