Hi all,
The UK Daily Mail has an article about a champion barista and taster doing a test of supermarket brands.

Daily Mail link

Nothing earthshattering but mildly amusing.

No surprise there, Phil. And if someone thinks those are bad, try Maxwell House or, especially, Folgers instant. Blech!

the article had me laughing...HARD.

when I drank coffee more regularly, I'd usually buy the Colombian blend from chock full o' nuts.

I would never buy supermarket brand coffee, it is always better to get the natural stuff

Master Chef - it's tastes ok to me.  A lot of them tastes about the same to me.

Some House Brands that tastes better than you would think - Dollar General, Fred's & Aldi grocery store.

The trick is to use a French-Press or Percolator
I leaned in college if you put espresso in a Percolator - the sun does not shine through a glass coffee mug ;}
Just a little dab will do or you will bounce off the ceiling!

Like Freddy said - no surprises there.

My wife and I were at the shop over the weekend where I get all my coffee.  Typically the owner sources it from small farms that may produce only 600 to 1000 pounds a year.  My wife doesn't normally drink coffee - but she will drink their coffee.

I had the best cup of pour over coffee - Nicaragua Aserradero - so smooth and certainly no taste of despair.

I drink Folgers 100% Colombian and find it very robust. I enjoy it.

Kirkland 100% Colombian or 8 o'clock house blend works well for me.
