All-

Yesterday the mail brought a Rooney Heritage 1XL (with nicely hooked tips). That is now on the shelf in my brush cabinet along with about 15 other brushes.

I really "think" my SBAD is in remission.

There may be place for a Simpson Manchurian, maybe a Plisson.

But, by golly, there's nothing really stirring my "gotta have it" reflex.

Ahhhh. Peace at last. If only for a moment.

Congratulations. It's a nice feeling. I've reached that point with DE razors. After trying most of the razors on the market, I settled on the Weber. I now own only two Webers and don't have any great desire to acquire any other DE. I'll get there with brushes too, but I'm not there yet. However, the list of brushes I "must" have has gotten quite smaller.

Yes, enjoy it while you can. My own experience is that such moments do not last forever.

I get that feeling now and again, then I think of another brush that I need to at least try. The Tulip 2 being my most recent gotta have it. I'm still sniffing around for Rooney 2-band heritage, but am really picky on which one I splurge on.

It seems like I either have or have had just about any brush that interests me. I've sold a few nice ones in recent month and am now down to a more manageable level and wouldn't mind seeing two or three more go. I once went 18 months without buying a new brush and using only four brushes but I have my doubts I could do that again.

That sounds too good to be true... Biggrin

I have had these "moments"... and then I figured I need to try one more thing... Cool

Sometimes I wonder, if I should sell most of my Simpson 2 Bands and just settle for a few... and then I look at them and feel "separation anxiety" Tongue

Time will tell...

Well, if one of you all has a Simpson Chubby 1 in a 2 Band (silvertip, maybe?)
I would be happy to purchase it and "lighten your load"
Seriously yours,
primo Hambre

How could you post this thread up without pictures of the Heritage 1XL along with the rest of the collection!

I love my gel tipped 1XL!

Beautiful collection. Seems to be more than enough even for Beau Brummel....... I have but one badger myself, a Thater 4125/2 Two Band "finest". I've thought of acquiring a Shavemac Americana but I can't justify the cost with probably a superior brush already in my grasp.
