I've been concerned about Jim (WSO), in recent weeks.

Jim is a first class gentleman, and his withdrawal from activity here on the forum, as well as order/shipping issues expressed by members, had me concerned that there may be more going on, i.e. home or work issues.

I tried to PM/email him last week, just to say hello, but did not receive a response.

I saw this on his blog last night (posted June 9) ...
http://wetshaveobsession.blogspot.com/20...k-you.html

I hope all goes well and look forward to his return. Let's keep his Mother in our thoughts.

Agreed, Johnny.

Jim is a fine gentleman, and I hope for a quick and complete recovery with regards to his mother's medical issues.

Great guy. I am not a customer of Jim's products but have enjoy interaction with him and also providing him with a fine straight out of my den that he purchased. I wish him and his family peace during this time of strife and concern about his ailing Mother.

I figured something was up since he is usually so quick to respond. I am happy that everything seems to be working out with his Mom though.

Jim is a great guy and his products are outstanding. I'm glad to see he is getting some distribution help. That should help him out a lot!

I am in contact with Jim almost every day and he is going through some really rough stuff with his mom. It is very touch and go and he has to push WSO to the back burner for the time being. Any of us in the same situation would do the same.

Jim is an absolute stand up guy... I say that without any doubt in my mind at all. If you have an order with him it will be filled. It may not be super timely but you will get it and usually he does his best to compensate for the added time and/or patience on your part.

I can ask you... as Jim's friend, to be patient and faithful. Do not judge his business on the last couple of weeks. Let him and his family sort out what is going on and let's help him through this tough time. Any prayers or thoughts you can send to his family will mean the world to him.

If you have any questions regarding Jim and he isn't responding to you please feel free to PM me and I'll do what I can to help out... he has enough on his plate right now Smile

I've found my way to his online store front lately but don't see where I can browse what soaps he offers. Is the online store set up in a way that if he doesn't add soaps than we can't view them or am I looking in the wrong place? I understand that his business is on the back burner, and rightfully so, I'm just curious if I'm looking in the wrong place. That being said, best wishes to Jim and family.

Unfortunately, Etsy doesn't show out-of-stock listings, at least by default.

The WSO blog has some product descriptions in older posts; this one shows what he had in stock at an earlier date.

Also it looks like there are a couple of his soaps still in stock at Knockout shave:

Has anyone purchased WSO soaps through the knockout website?? I have heard good reviews about Bill the Barber scent, but what about the other 2 scents he has to offer? Any feedback on the Tommi or Green Irish Tweed scents?

Very quickly gentlemen. My sincerest Thanks, this forum, the staff and members have a place with me for the long haul. The outpouring of support and well wishes and patience has been so much more than I could have ever, ever hoped for. This pretty much sums things up and offers an update on all things: http://wetshaveobsession.blogspot.com/20...k-you.html
