Another restorer sent me this blade. It was in pretty sad shape but I was able to use it. You know how I feel about bolsters.
I made up some acrylic in a translucent blue as I thought it would be a nice change of pace from the usual Horn etc.
And since I made it up I did a matching brush for it as well.
The blade cleaned up nicely and I love the polished brass against the blue.
This thing took a wonderful edge. I'm glad he sent it. It looks nice in my collection.

Sorry about the first pic. A quick one on the bench as I was breaking it down.

Thanks. I'm guessing by your comment you know I started out as a brush maker and have seen others I've built.

I know this thread is around a month old, but I just had to say, that is one lovely razor. Love the blue scales, and the brush.

Thanks for bringing this one back. It's one of my favorite pieces I have seen Mark do. It's nothing fancy, but it is simply stunning work. Those bolsters make the whole package complete.

I really wish Mark sold some of his personal work. I'd snatch that up in a heartbeat.

He does absolutely lovely work, and seems to know which razors need to be brought all the way back, and when to stop in a place where he can leave just the right amount of "mileage" on the blade.
