The famous actor who played Sherlock Holmes was born on this date in 1892. He also hawked Personna blades.

Said Basil:
"1. As Sherlock Holmes I can solve every mystery except that of smooth shaving. As Rathbone...
2. I solve it with Personna razor blades, which give me smoother, closer shaves. The only mystery is ...
3. Why all men don't rush out for Personnas and start enjoying smooth, comfortable shaves!"

One of my all time favorite actors. The Sherlock Holmes films with Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson were the best! The sword fight in "Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn is one of the classics too.

Basil Rathbone was always a favorite of mine, too. The fact that he hawked Personna blades just adds to his luster. Winky

Thanks for this, John.
