I have a Muhle black fibre v1. Is it worth it to get a v2? Is there a big difference? Thanks.

I had this same question before. So here is the advice that i got. If you go from a V1 to a V2, you initially wont feel much change, but when you go back down to the V1 then there is a noticible difference. I hear great things from synthetic fans about the STF V2. I would personnaly make the upgrade. hope it helps.

Thanks man. I have a v2 stf and a v1 black fibre. I was thinking an upgrade to a v2 black fibre would be good.

I prefer the V1 to be honest, soft but a wee bit of scrub. I ended up selling the V2 I bought, and kept my V1's.

Byron knows brushes and knows what he is talking about. But in the end, it's personal preference. I feel the V2 fibre is definitely superior to the V1 version for Muhle. I sold all of my V1 brushes when I got my V2 versions. Now, I only have one V2 left. The 25mm, after purchasing a Plisson Cade syththetic brush.

You need to try them out for yourself to decide and sell the ones that don't make the cut.

Mike, good luck with the brushes! You might as well just get the V2 Black Fibre and a Plisson synthetic! Biggrin
