We need a place to discuss this. Mods move if needed please.

Thus far I have been very impressed with Mexico.

Thought Brazil caught a few breaks that swung their way, but still played very well.

And blown away by The Netherlands performance against Spain. Who expected that?

I am at work so only able to listen right now but I look forward to the first weekend of full play schedules. And with the performances we've seen (heard) thus far it looks like it's gonna be a great tournament.

What are y'all thinking so far?

An ageing Spain team, past their prime, destroyed by Holland 5-1 tonight. A lot of people jumping on the Dutch bandwagon already. Decent team, one to watch for sure.

I thought Croatia were unlucky against Brazil. If Brazil play like that against a team with a couple of good centre forwards they could find themselves in trouble.

Looking forward to seeing Uruguay play. Fearsome forward line up.

Poor officiating for the first couple matches but better since. Mexico should have won 3-0. RVP's header was simply brilliant and Robben's first touch to control the ball on his first goal was stunning.

Yeah, all of us players can control the ball with one touch while leaping through the air with one foot higher than our head. Shocked

What about heading in a 52 yard pass? Can any footie player do that? If you haven't seen that shot from the Dutch player, you need to watch it.

Thought that the Australian and Chile game was very exciting. Was so hoping the Aussies would pull it off, but they just missed it.

Hoping that the Americans will do well this tourney, but I have to say I'm just really excited to see some great soccer and so far I have not been disappointed.

I managed to catch a portion of the first half of the Mexico-Cameroon game yesterday, and enjoyed it thoroughly. There's nothing quite like watching a sporting event being played in a complete downpour.

Very surprised by the Uruguay result. I expected them to score a few goals. Made that group very interesting though and wouldn't be surprised to see teams advance on goal difference now.

This World Cup has definitely been more exciting than the last. Seems like every team has their scoring boots on!

Quite the entertaining Cup so far for sure. Happy to see the officiating doing a better job lately too. I was happy for Messi & Argentina today even if they did let in a soft goal towards the end. I had predicted their victory at 2-0 so the soft goal was very disappointing to me. Wink

Thought that the US game was so awesome. They really pulled it off, but they have to go harder against Portugal. Really felt that they kind of sat back and let Ghana come at them, left it too open, and that afforded Ghana more chances then I was comfortable with.

I don't even want to think about Germany. It's not gonna be easy for them to get out of the group, but I'm holding out hope.
